do you have any suggestions for a good music notation software?
Currently I am using scorio, which is quite basic but very good for my purposes. It offers a free music editor and a saving and printing option of music pieces after free registration.

What other software would you recommend and what are their main features. The software should be free.

Thanks in advance!

The best free music notation software out there is MuseScore MuseScore is free and open source, easy to use and give pretty good result. You can of course print, save as PDF, MIDI etc... you can also export/import from MusicXML.
It's also possible to share your work online, publicly or privately. Check some examples at (Note the difference between .com, the sharing website and .org the website to download the software and get help)
