My name is Gifrants. I'm originally from Haiti but I've been living in the States for the last 26 years.

I'm afraid to make any bold statement. However, I sincerely believe that the "natif" concept which is based on the sounds of Haitian folk and roots music, has opened a much wider window on a harmonic level.

The extensive use of the #9, and the sus 4, and the polychords on my guitar--playing two and more notes on bass while building another chord on the high strings, may prove to be a challenge when it comes to arranging a song.

I'll be more than happy to share this knowledge with any open minded musician. I would appreciate any comments also.
