Hi there
My name is Wendell Baatjes and I am from Cape Town South Africa. I am by no means a professional pianist but have been playing since I was a kid. My last studies was at Rhodes University in Grahamstown. I just love classical music and like to study works of the old masters. I have done a few piano compositions which I at first thought I would never be able to do until I was challenged by my son.
I have done a thorough study of the Sonata form of music and all my music was composed in this form. I am fanatic about Beethoven's work. I attend a lot of concerts especially when there is a Piano Concerto.
Otherwise I just love to talk about music and my home is never without a sound of music.
This is a great site and I think I am going to enjoy it.
