What was the Franz Schubert piece that was sung at the end of Disney's classic movie, Fantasia?

This is pretty easy Suzann, I leave the answer to somebody else...

Best,
Fabrizio.

You're right, Fabrizio. I'll think up another.

You know Suzann, maybe that's easy for me but for someone else can be tricky

Thank you for your kindness.

Sincerely,
Fabrizio

Thanks, Fabrizio, you're too kind. Anyway, it's Ave Maria, sung in 1940 by Julieta Novis (1909-1994). I remember it (although it was way before my time) because when I saw the movie as a little kid, her voice - and of course Schubert's music - absolutely re-arranged my chromosomes. That, along with Disney's visuals of - I don't know, was it a group of nuns carrying candles? - just opened my heart to the possibility of ... Spirit. However you want to describe it. It was a mind-body-soul musical experience.

I agree completely with you Suzann, was an incredible experience for me too when I was a child, and actually left something inside.

Thank you for posting this

All the best,
Fabrizio
