ok so i've been having this problem since i began playing the bassoon (1 year). My reeds get REALLY moldy in days. I poked holes in my 30$ reed case and my reeds still get really moldy. So now my case smells like mold and im wondering if the problem comes from my reed case or my bassoon case being really old and humid. Also, does washing your bassoon affect your reeds. I should also mention that i never leave my reeds in water for more that 1 min. Oh and do you know any good commercial reeds brands since all my hand made ones disintegrated.
