Hello, I have a Crate Flexwave 120 watt head for my half stack. A while back it started messing up on me so i put it aside and got a small 75 watt line 6 to get me by. I love my line 6 but i wanted my half stack back to play on because i really liked it. I know people bag on Crate alot but i think it depends on their products. Anyway, I gave my Crate head to a friend of my fathers to see if he can fix it. I just got a message back from him saying he has it fixed and it hasnt taken a crap on him yet. Im looking for any suggestions on a replacement head for my half stack in case my head breaks on me again. My price im looking at is hopefully no more than 300. I just need a decent head to use with my band. If anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it.

I use the Marshall MG100 for a backup head. I have been carrying it around in the band van for about 5 years and it is quite bullet proof. You get 100 watts and 2 channels for about 3 bills new! Also, if you use +4 db effects like I do on my Soldano loop, the effects will work on the MG 100 loop as well. (Other amps wont do this, their loops are -10 dbs). I bet you can get a used one for about 100-150 bones.
