Congratulations Andre for your "Cat's Play" orchestra piece, I listened to it and I enjoyed it very much. Is that just an excerpt or it is actually a short piece of music?

Best,

Fabrizio

Hi Fabrizio,
this is the 2nd piece of a group of 6 short pieces. I orchestrated 3 in total now and are working on the fourth.

That's great Andre. Do you work directly on the computer or do you write with a pencil first? Just curious...

Thanks!

Fabrizio

PS: I see you online right now

Yes, I am online right now

My way of writing is a mix of writting on paper at the piano and putting it into the computer (Sibelius) at the same time. I try things out sometimes in Garageband (Sequencer to get anidea, but mostly I have a pretty good I dea alreafy from the beginning how it will sound like. Using Sibelius keeps everything clean and easy to fill in the blanks.

Exactly the same way I work, and actually I think is the best one. I use Sibelius too... I guess you use a Mac, right? Me too...

What do you think about this new site for musicians? Do you like it?

Thanks.

Fabrizio

I use a mac, yes, love it and will never return to my pc!

This site is very nice, but not so much action yet. I believe I am the only one who posted his own compositions till now. And I noticed tat the replays I post are invisible; white text on a white background...

Love Mac too

About the site, I am going to add new exciting features such as:

1. The ability to publish your own Mp3 files
2. The ability to publish your own sheet music
3. The ability to publish your own videos (despite you can already add
YouTube videos to your customizable home page on the new site).

as soon as possible... stay tuned!

About your mentioned "invisible reply" I don't understand what you mean... sounds like a "bug" to me! Could you please tell me more?

Thank you for your time! (I guess it's pretty late there in Sweden!).

Fabrizio.

I have to highlight the text with my mouse so I can see it, because the text boxes are completely white. Not only my own text but yours as well.

It is late here, yes, 3 am, but I just came back from my job, I always work at night as a  dishwasher in a restaurant... it's a dirty job but someone has to do it. And it pays the bills.

That's very interesting... I'd like to understand where is the problem, could you help me? What browser do you use? Does that happens when you make a Reply or a Reply Q (with quote)? Please, let me know.

Wow about the dishwasher job, I understand and I agree with you with the need for that, I really admire you for what you are doing!

Thank you again.

Best,
Fabrizio

Hi Fabrizio,
I know what the problem with the invisible text is. It only happens when I use Firefox to visit the page, with Safari everything looks normal. Maybe it's a bug in Firefox.

Thank you Andre.
