The ever growing Vintage Jazz Community in S. Cal is Alive, especially in Downtown Los Angeles.

Leading the charge is Jack Hale's Six-Shooter (they blow you away), with Ginger Pauley on vocals.

Ginger's character is Betty Boop and this Hot Sextet plays authentic music of the 1920's-1930's. Not only is this pure entertainment listening to incredible beautiful songs from this era, most that didn't make it to the 'jazz standards' list, but music of this era was Dance Music.

The music is ideal for Charleston and Lindy-Hop, among slower tempos as well of course!

Regardless of one's preferred music style whether it be rap, blues, modern jazz, rock, etc., many are drawn to hear and enjoy this live music that could only be heard on old black and white movies, for the most part.

This era of jazz is 'easier' on the ears for non jazz musicians and music enthusiasts that perhaps don't have the background of modern jazz rhythms and harmonies. The harmonies are basic, that of rock, country, folk and pretty much every style of music other than modern jazz beginning with Swing and further extended during the initial Bepop era.
