Music has always been the blood that pumps the desire in this man's heart to gather everyone and share the experience of good music. Leo San Jose Lambatan's great passion for music gave him the opportunity to play in different hotels and cruise ship in Asia. He was born on October 5,1954 in the city of "good luck",Gingoog City,Misamis Oriental. A father of four young aspiring musicians,Leo first played the keyboard back in 1974 to 1980 at GHQ Armed Forces of the Philippines Band,Camp Aguinaldo,Quezon City. He then played as a pianist at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City from 1980 to 1981. Leo entered the music scene of Hotels,restobars and clubs of Baguio from 1982 to 1983 which include The Pines Hotel and SONGS,the most famous restobar along Session road way back in the early 80's. Leo also went to JAPAN as a pianist at PLAYBOY CLUB,Oita City from 1986 to 1987. He then went to SINGAPORE and performed at the known Dynasty Hotel from1988 to 1989 and back to JAPANESE SEA PASSENGER(JASPA;CRUISE SHIP) from 1990 to 1991. Leo went back to BAGUIO and played drums at the City's Hottest music lounge during its prime in 1996,GIMBALS and a solo pianist at Cafe Legarda. From 2008 to 2009,Leo went back to JAPAN as a solo pianist at TAIKAN HOTEL,MORIOKA SHI,IWATE KEN AZA TSUNAGI and currently a pianist in JOHN HAY SUITES and The Baguio Manor Hotel.

However, ever since the beginning, I gave a good account of myself as one of the most perspective students of the piano class in the music school in Storozhynets, Chernivetska Oblast, Ukraine, by winning the oblast theoretical olympiad (second place) and the competition of young pianists (also second place) in Chernivtsi.

When I was in 3rd grade my family moved to a little town south of Des Monies called Norwalk. I started to study the Piano in this town. My lesson for piano was every Tuesday morning at 7am down the street a block from our house was my piano teacher. When I was in the 5th grade I moved to the Kansas City area. Lenexa, Kansas. I continued piano study. In June of the next year we moved to Raytown, Missouri. Here I went to school from 6th to 12th grades. During high school and through college and even after I made a good deal of my income from doing accapella arrangements, tuning and rebuilding pianos, performing at weddings. I did many things while in 10th through 12th grades. I was in sports: Cross-County, Track, In-door Track, the school Orchestra (I played the ‘Cello, Bass, and Violin), I was in the Choir, I was on the school Newspaper, I was in the Foreign Language Club. I studied piano. I composed music constantly. In 1974 I started at the University in the fall at the University of Missouri, Kansas City: (1974-1978). I studied music education and music composition at the University's music school: “UMKC Conservatory of Music“. I auditioned on piano and received a scholarship for part of my education. I played for the Professors at the music school my original piano music: “A Prelude“. -I had a composition read through by high school Orchestra in class one day. In high school I studied composition with Frank Erickson of Baldwin-Mills band series fame. At the University I studied: German, Music theory, classical and jazz piano and voice. I absolutely loved going to the University! I should have been a better student; but I had to work to get myself through school. My parents paid for most of my education- but I paid for everything else. While I was at the University (Kansas City) I worked as a night manager of a Restaurant in a Department store. During the summer I'd work doing all kinds of jobs as well as performing regularly. One summer I drove a big limousine! Another summer I drove a Garbage truck! I like to work. I graduated from the University in December of 1978 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental and Vocal music Education and a minor degree in Music Composition. In July 1979 I moved to Bloomington, Indiana (IU). After college, I worked as a musician (performing with many of the students I had gone to school with at the University), acted as band leader and arranger of many groups, taught full-time at a local High School, taught music at private music studio, preached and performed regularly in a variety band. (NOTE: I worked full time (40 hours a week), went to school full time and studied four instruments each semester term at the University; I went to college year around.) My instruments were piano, voice, cello and one other instrument in the orchestra during each one semester. In my second year of college. I went one semester (Fall 1976) in Iowa at Simpson College near Des Moines. I returned the Conservatory of Music in Kansas City. (Later, also, I went in the fall of 1979 I went one term to Indiana University.) In 1981 I lived in Los Angeles, CA and worked developing talent in the music business; worked evenings selling pianos for Baldwin Piano and Organ Company, lived and worked in Hollywood, CA performing in local night spots as a singer. I moved to Nashville, TN in October of 1983 working in a country ban (played piano/keyboards/fiddle/bass), played with recording artists like Bertie Higgins: “Key Largo”; performed in show bands, played as a warm up act at concert venues, performed on TV, some studio work, sang, played fiddle, piano, guitar, bass and even sax for a short time. In January of 1986 I returned to Graduate School in Denton, TX for my master's degree at the University of North Texas. I graduated in August of 1988 with a Master of Music Composition and a minor in Music Theory. Moved to Tampa, Florida in fall of 1988, taught in public school string music full-time, was on a the “Breakfast Beat”: a local TV show each week, taught privately, performed every weekend at a venue, one at the Florida State fair along with the likes of Mike Snider of “Grand Ole Opry” fame and others. Moved to Kansas City, MO in 1990 and was self-employed and performed Cocktail piano/vocal until moving to Nashville, TN in in August of 1998 where I worked the music publishing business and as Creative Music Director and Artist development professional until returning to Kansas City in the summer of 2005. Specialized on choral conducting & vocal being members of chamber choir crossed Europe with a concert tours took part in recording 7 CD's on BBC radio and many international projects. Actually, the story of husband & wife Duo began in 1997 in UAE where the band successfully performed in pub.
