From 1994 to 1999 Mari studied music and English in the states. After returning to Tokyo she began honing her skills as a boogie-woogie blues piano player in a Blues Brothers tribute band. She joined a blues band starring Toshie Nagishi, a famous national Japanese actress. In 2005 she won a green card lottery, earned her green card and returned to the states to tour and entertain both nationally and abroad. Mari and Scott worked together on the Sea Princess touring the Caribbean for four months. Since then Mari has been working on sing along repertory. A mixture of classic and current pop/rock. He continued to play off and on, became involved in the school's music program and jammed with friends. There he performed and studied with world renowned artists and performers such as Kenny Aronoff, Donald Erb and Gerald Carlyss. He also did a six year stint playing drums and percussion for the 38th Infantry Division Army Band. He went out on the road originally in May of 2005 with Dana Jordan. Since then he's been a member of other band lineups like 4am and Crosstown. Scott and Mari did a four month Caribbean tour aboard the Sea Princess. My name's Andy Foster, and I thought I'd introduce myself and get some more information about the hotel contract in India you're advertising, as I'm always looking for new and interesting places to work. I live in Brighton, U.K. & I'm a self contained solo act. I play acoustic & electric guitar, tenor saxophone and I sing. I have a huge repertoire (at least 350 songs) and I'm very experienced in all types of venues including many 5 star hotels around the world. For the last year, as well as my U.K. based gigs I've been working for The U.K. Holiday company Thompson /TUI as a covering musician helping them out if they have a problem in resort. Recently I helped trial their new 'couples' brand concept in Gran Canaria before it went live this season and since May I have been covering on and off in the Grand Nastro Azzuro Hotel in Sorrento, Italy. In the past I have worked around the world playing in different band combinations - solo, duos, trios and full live bands but I now only work as a solo act. I can easily adapt my set to the surroundings/clients, from sophisticated jazz & soul, through to full on dancing, rocking tunes! How many meals do you supply per day and is it in the hotel? Guest meals or staff meals? Can the musicians use the facilities of the hotel - swimming pool etc? Do you pay return flights and freight for equipment - mine is approx 70 kg. Sorry for all the questions at this stage but these are the details that make it a good or bad experience!!
