Donovan Dean Dyers – Bass quitarist Donovan grew up in South Africa with strong Gospel influences and in a family of musicians it was evident that music would become his way of life. He was quick to make his mark at the age of 14 already working with well-known local bands like, Ernie Smith, Allou April and Garth Taylor. Donovan played at the Northsea Jazz Festival and Standard Bank Jazz Athon every year at the Waterfront, Cape Town. This seriously talented musician displays a confidence and skill that other performers can only envy. He mastered his instruments at the University Of Cape Town College Of Music. He did numerous recording sessions with many local Gospel legends.
He has performed in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg, from 1994.
In 1996 he became a fully professional bass quitarist player and Amazing Energy on Stage and the best Live bass guitarist you ever seen”, This is the reactions from the people after Donovan Dyers performance on stage.
Donovan performed with various bands in and around Cape Town for a few years and played in restaurants, Hotels, corporate and private functions.
He performed at the Northsea Jazz festival, Standard Bank Jazz Athon, Grahamstown Jazz festival, and played with different artist like Garth Taylor, Allou April, Ernie Smith and the latest female pop idol Sasha-Lee Davids.
From 2004 he performed with the band Afro D' Ziac in and around Cape Town and in Isrotel Hotel, Israel every year for a month as well in the Regal Plaza hotel in Dubai.
From 2006 his band Public Opinion began the well known South African Band.
He performed with his band in Bahrain at the Gulf Hotel.
