Gary Mitchell Resume

A Colorado Native, Gary grew up primarily in the Triangle area of North Carolina, beginning a musical journey that started in early childhood and carried right through to a music degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a background in piano, electric bass, acoustic and electric guitar, drums and percussion, blues harmonica, and pop and classical voice, Gary has spent the last decade gaining experience as a professional performer. He creates a fun, family friendly entertainment experience that spans a wide range of musical styles, with a level of integrity and professionalism that defies the "musician's stereotype."

With so much great music out there to draw from, there is no reason why a live performer should be limited to just one style, genre, or artist. Gary performs quality, recognizable hits from classic and alternative rock, Soul, Funk, Country, R & B, Jazz, Inspirational and Top 40 modern radio. His goal is that every audience member, regardless of age, race, background or taste, will hear something that they know and enjoy during a show. In addition to his arsenal of covers, Gary is happy to take requests from clients and audience members. If there is something specific you'd like to hear at your event, just say the word and Gary is happy to learn your song and have it ready for the performance. In addition to his musical prowess, Gary has also developed a reputation for his fun and clever interaction with his audience that will have you clapping, laughing, and singing along. Your wedding, party or event will not be complete without a live show tailored to fit your needs.

"Gary Mitchell is one of the most giving musicians that I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He is always willing to volunteer and lend his vocal talent for a good cause. He is the total package, good looking, well educated, excellent songwriter, composer, performer and all around great person. He's a true professional. He arrives on time, clean, neat and ready to perform. He gives every performance his all. His talent attracts the audience and holds their attention until throughout the whole performance. Gary is on a mission to write and perform excellent quality music with a message that everyone can enjoy. His lyrics are clean and positive. The listener can enjoy the music and know that the message is one of hope. Gary reiterates in his music that we are not alone, that we have never been alone and will never be alone. God is with us, he is our strength and he loves us..." LeAnne Silver

"We had Gary perform during our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding and he was awesome! I received so many compliments from our guests not only during, but in the weeks following our wedding. Everyone wanted to know how I found someone so talented! Gary has a broad range of songs he can sing and was even willing to learn new songs if I so desired. I would recommend his services in a heartbeat!" Jennifer Tomey
