      FRANCESCA CIOMMEI.
Jazz singer and composer. She has been a professional singer since 1992, working in theatres, sessions and gigs, and covering a wide range of contemporary styles (traditional and classic jazz, soul, pop, folk, opera, classical Neapolitan). Dubbung. Francesca grew up listening to the Jazz of Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tormè, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Sonny Rollins and, well... Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Verdi and Rossini. She also worked as a cartoonist and comic artist ("Tira-e-Molla "...).
THE BEGINNINGS. She started her musical training when she was eleven, with M°Adriana Cecchini Bonavolontà. In the Nineties she entered as chorus member into the "Coro Diego Carpitella" (University of Rome La Sapienza), directed by M°Lucio Ivaldi. Jazz training: M° Cinzia Spata. Conservatorio di Musica "Licino Refice" di Frosinone (Italy). It also follows several stages, directed by: Barry Harris, Shwann Monteiro, Ruggero Artale, etc. During those years she was also performing in the music clubs in Rome (Fonclea, Saxophone, Sottosopra, etc..). From the mid-nineties to 2003, she has lived and performed in Ischia, (often travelling and singing in Germany, Austria and Campania). In the Green Iland she had the opportunity to learn vocal technique and opera classical repertoire of the Neapolitan tradition, with M° Nello Di Majo (Teatro San Carlo in Naples), and with which she performed. In 2003, she came back to Rome, followed the Corso Nazionale per la Metodologia Orff-Schulwerk, directed by M° Giovanni Piazza (Scuola Popolare di Musica Donna Olimpia), and began working as Orff-Schulwerk operator for the I.N.D.A.C.O. Association (by M°Bruno Zoia)...and, of course, she started again performing (New Orleans Cafe, Fonclea, FourXXXX, Saxophone, I Canterini, Cineporto, etc..).
