      Background/Biography :

I grew up in Renfro Valley, Ky. I am largely a self-taught Guitarist. However, I did graduate from
M.I.T. in Los Angeles, California. I have opened many shows for: Montgomery Gentry, Mark Chestnut, Darrly Worley, Little Big Town, Trace Atkins, Mark Wills, Sara Evans, Marty Stuart, Craig Morgan, Dolly Parton, Big & Rich, Hank Williams Jr., The Outlaws, Tanya Tucker, Jo Dee Massina, Sawyer Brown, to name a few.
I am very proud to come from a long musical family line; from my late first Cousin Denny Purcell -
Owner & Mastering Engineer - Georgetown Masters Studios; a few of his Clients include - (Garth Brooks,
Kansas,Willie Nelson,Neil Young); Cousin Shayne Owens - Luthier / Intrument Tech. (Patty Loveless,Kip Winger, Thom Bresh); Cousin J.P. Pennington - Songwriter/Producer (Exile); Cousin Tommy Roberts - Guitars (Johnny & the Hurricanes "red river rock", & The Cyclones); Uncles Billy Walker & James Purcell - Guitars & Bass (Homer & Jethro, Coon Creek Girls, & String Bean,etc.); Grandfather Ceicel Purcell - Banjo (Red Foley); and not to forget Henry Purcell - 16th. Century Composer who Composed many Songs for King Henry VIII.
