Bandmaster Heavy Cavalry and Cambrai Band
Key Achievements
Professional conductor and assistant conductor.
Staff composer and musical arranger answering to the Director of Music: prescribed arrangements and compositions have been required for the symphonic band and for individual musicians both civilian and military. Miscellaneous arrangements and compositions have been written for performances in various venues across the North East of England, Northern Ireland, and Germany.
Training/education and piano-accompaniment of a number of examination candidates for performance diploma and below.


Design, implementation and management of internal and external musical training for 35 personnel.
Co-ordination of overseas tours (transport, security, accommodation, rehearsals and performances) for various sized teams.

Bandmaster - Band of the Irish Guards

Professional conductor and assistant conductor.
Staff composer and arranger answering to Director of Music: including Music on Fire, Trooping of the Colour 2005 and 2008, Household Division Beating of Retreat 2005 and 2008, Viva Musica I, II, and III. Miscellaneous arrangements and compositions for performances in London.
Training/education and piano-accompaniment of a number of examination candidates for performance diploma and below.
Design, implementation and management of internal and external musical training for 49 personnel.
Acquisition of funding and resources to enable a programme of Continuous Professional Development including an MA degree Course, leading on to a substantial enhancement in retention of personnel.
Co-ordination of overseas tours (transport, security, accommodation, rehearsals and performances) for various sized teams.
Composition, co-ordination and arrangement of music for 50th Anniversary of Independence in Ghana. Rehearsal and management of massed Bands, and advisor to senior staff for protocol, procedure and musical issues for ceremonial events.
Organised regular musical shows in top venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Cadogan Hall and the South Bank Centre, as part of a project management team.

Bandmaster - King's Division Normandy Band

Professional conductor and assistant conductor.
Staff composer and arranger answering to Director of Music: including a show in Birmingham where 25 specific arrangements of songs where arranged for individual artistes. Miscellaneous arrangements and compositions for performances in various venues across the North West of England, in various European cities, and on tour of Canada.
Training/education and piano-accompaniment of a number of examination candidates for performance diploma and below.
Design, implementation and management of internal and external musical training for 35 personnel.
Co-ordination of overseas tours (transport, security, accommodation, rehearsals and performances) for various sized teams.
Organised regular musical shows in various venues across the North West of England as part of a project management team.

Trombone/Piano Player Blues and Royals
Key Achievements
Successful ensemble trombonist in the symphonic wind band and the marching band.
Recognised solo pianist and member of the Salon Orchestra having performed as a soloist and as an orchestral pianist at Buckingham Palace, St James' Palace, Windsor Castle, and many other recognised scenarios.
Examination accompanist for candidates of performance diploma and below.
Staff arranger and composer, working to order of the Director of Music and the Bandmaster.
