      Svetlana Kotova

Pianist born in Russia and based in Chile since 1991.
Mrs. Kotova got her musical education in Moscow Gnesin School of Music and the Moscow Academic College of Music, where he studied with renowned teachers A. Maykapar, N. Grigorieva, A. Korneev. Besides the specialty courses in theory of music and piano she studied harpsichord, organ, recorder, flute and chorus conducting Throughout the whole basic period of her musical education she participated in the Children's Opera Workshop, making numerous appearances in concert halls and theatres in Moscow. In the year 1990 Mrs. Kotova graduated from the Moscow Academic College of Music with the degree of Piano, Theory and History of Music Teacher and Collaborative Pianist.
In her country she made part of Baroque Music Ensemble "Da Camera e da Chiesa" as a harpsichordist.
Since her arrival in Chile, she developed an important artistic activity. She offered piano recitals at the Modern School of Music, at the International Piano Season in Chillan, and at the Cultural Center Montecarmelo. He participated several times in “Semanas Musicales” of Frutillar, as well as in almost every season of concerts that take place in Chile - in Valparaiso, Vina del Mar, Talca, La Serena, Concepcion, Villarrica, Puerto Montt, Osorno, and, of course in every concert hall in Santiago.
Plays as soloist with Symphony Orchestra of Chile (1992, 1993, 1997); Classical Orchestra of Santiago (1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2005), Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra (1992, 2007), Symphony Orchestra of Antofagasta (1992), Symphony Orchestra of SODRE, Montevideo-URUGUAY (1996, 1997), Youth Symphony Orchestra (2004), New Providence Symphony Orchestra (2005, 2006), Camerata Andres Bello (2005, 2006, 2007), Talca University Orchestra (2007).
Mrs. Kotova has been highlighted as a sensitive and ductile accompanist by the most important soloists in Chile and abroad. Among others, has played recitals with Dame Malvina Major (soprano, New Zealand), Angela Marambio (soprano, Chile - USA), Veronica Villarroel (soprano, Chile), Kinue Nakase (soprano, Japan), Peter Hana (baritone, Austria), Denis Kolobov (violin, Russia), Andrea Griminelli (flute, Italy), Johannes Erkes (viola, Germany), Micha Haran (cello, Israel), Patricia Piekutowska (violin, Poland), Luis Rossi (clarinet, Argentina) and so on.
Conductors whom Mrs. Kotova has worked with: Gabor Otvos, Maximiano Valdes, Maurizio Benini, Stefano Ranzani, Roberto Rizi-Brignoli, Alain Lombard, David Lloyd-Johns, Jan Latham Koenig, Edoardo Muller, Stefan Lano etc.
In the 1999 Mrs. Kotova recorded the cycle "Formulaciones Animicas" for solo piano by Nino Garcia in CD. In 2003 she recorded a CD with a series of works for violin and piano by Chilean composers (draft FONDART).
She has been invited on several occasions as the official pianist for the Doctor Luis Sigall International Competition in Vina del Mar.
Since the year 1991 to date, Mrs. Kotova has been working as a principal opera coach and orchestra pianist at the Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Chile.
