Born in Rome in 1977, Michele Camilloni studied Percussion Instruments at the Conservatorio 'Santa Cecilia' of Rome, from where he graduated with top marks. In the meantime he earned a degree in Musicology from the University of Pavia cum laude. His thesis was entitled Erich Wolfgang Korngold - una drammaturgia musicale. 

From 2003 to 2007 he has become the director of the musical magazine Allegro con Brio published by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma. 

As a performer, he has appeared with numerous orchestras. Appearances include concerts with the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, the Orchestra di Roma e del Lazio, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma and the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. 

In 2007 he started his collaboration as timpanist and/or percussionist with Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta.
