Ron Tanski Resume

Ron Tanski - Blues Pianist, Singer and Composer-Not Famous But Always Working-A Real Los Angeles Professional Musician

BACKGROUND...

I'm just an old style Blues piano player and singer, but its not all Blues. Even though I was the first ever "whiteboy" house piano player at Lindbergs, one of the oldest Blues clubs in the nation, I don't easily fit any one genre. My music goes way past 12 Bar Blues. I grew up in rural Ohio, Colorado, and Missouri before coming to L.A. so I've definitely got some twang, but I grew up listening to Rock, Pop and that classic Jazz Blues Sound.

I taught myself piano at age 5 started lessons at 7 and went through college where I studied music and composition (Classical & Jazz) at Drury University.

I've worked with so many artists both big and small as a performer and session player including Larry "Fuzzy" Knight and his Blowin' Smoke Band and late Blues greats Osee Anderson and J.J. "Bad Boy" Jones.

I've also done several scores including the independent film "Everyone Knows How To Spell Luv", Jingles for radio, and several animated shorts (1st place at the New Jersey Film Festival, Animation Category), and music for children's theatre. I also write and play Sacred Music.
