Ahmad Aliff Yusof Resume

      My name is Ahmad Aliff Yusof. I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'm a freelance musician majoring in violin, with minor in viola. I have been the member of the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) since 2006. I regularly play with several professional orchestras in my town such as Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Orchestra, Petronas Performing Arts Group (PPAG) and Malaysian National Symphony Orchestra (NSO). These orchestra plays classical, pop, contemporary, jazz as well as Malaysian traditional music. With these orchestra, I have been featured in their broadcasts as well as the recordings.

Besides playing as a violinist, I also do conducting and string ensemble instructions; currently I'm the associate conductor for the Sri Aman High School orchestra in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Previously, I have been appointed as the students' conductor of Penang Free School Band and Anderson School Ipoh Military Band. I also occasionally do arrangement and composition, especially for string orchestra.

A little bit of my education background, I have graduated with First Class in Bachelor's Degree of Music Performance (Honors) from the Faculty of Music, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam, Selangor. My concentration for the degree was the violin. For violin teachers, I learned the violin from Evgeny Kaplan, Mustafa Fuzer Nawi, Woon Wen Kin and Radzali Mustafa. In 2009, I have enrolled in the Conductor's Circle program under the tutelage of Kevin Field, the Associate Conductor of Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
