| Steve Adelson has played the revolutionary Chapman Stick since 1984. The Stick is a twelve string electric instrument that covers a large sonic range. Using a two handed tapping technique, Steve plays bass lines, guitar chords and single lines all simultaneously. This style offers unique harmonic, melodic and rhythmic ideas. He has performed internationally and throughout the US. Steve has recorded and performed with Tony Levin, Chieli Minucci, Dean Brown, and many other creative musicians. He has traveled the world giving clinics on his instrument. Steve has 5 recordings under his leadership, a performance DVD on Mel Bay Records, an instructional 2 DVD set with TrueFire and a tutorial book/DVD with Mel Bay. Steve has written for Twentieth Century Guitar and Guitar Player magazines amongst others. He teaches and performs in the NY area regularly and produces the annual Long Beach Jazz Festival (www.longbeachjazzfest.com. There are many YouTubes of Steve.
