  • Laurie is most noted for hercut-to-the-heart poetic lyrics. She is heavily influenced by the political and poetic songwriters of the 60's, such as Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell and their ilk. She is a recognized poet and lyricist. Laurie pursued studies both nationally and internationally in musical theater and opera. She holds degrees in theater, Music and English from the University of Denver and wrote her first song in the first grade.
