Description:FELIX BLUMENFELD (1863 - 1931) A Ukrainian of Polish extraction, Felix Blumenfeld was a pupil of Rimsky-Korsakov and himself taught piano at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where his pupils included Horowitz. As a pianist he followed the tradition of Anton Rubinstein, an influence apparent in his own compositions for the piano.
