Paul Dougherty Resume
Paul started playing professionally in bands at 16 years of age
even though he had been "drumming" since the age of 5. He played numerous years with local bands and recorded an album with a local band called Orquesta Royal. Paul also recorded demos with the late David Cole of C&C Music Factory fame for Colton Productions. This was followed by 6 years with a group called Orquesta Zayas. Paul then became a member of the Charlie Valentin Orquesta, where he played and recorded on both of the group's CD's. He also played on the radio station WKCR and the Sabado Medio Dia show on Channel 41 in New York City. Other musicians that Paul collaberated with include, Antonio Cartegena and Los Pakines of Peru, Sony recording artist De Carlo, David Cedeno, Alex Leon, Elemento 10 and the former lead singer of Grupo Niche, Moncho Santana. Paul has played and recorded with The Continental Show Band and Latin rock groups AutoControl and El Vertigo and has also done salsa club dates with Eddie Santiago.
