Seeking advice on the best "low noise/hum" pickups, Gibson style/LP or SG type. I play mostly blues and classic rock. I use an on board overdrive preamp which has a tendency to amplify any noise & or hum which is why I need as quiet a pickup as I can get. Also desire the deep bell sound from the neck pu, and many of my covers include a lot of Clapton, but I do not care for Strat's, too heavy. Thanks for your advise | ||||||||

Try this one, Seymour Duncan SH-PG1 Pearly Gates Pickup according to publishers review, it is a top-rated humbucker among hard rock and blues-rock players. It has excellent sustain and cranks out soaring, crystal-clear treble notes, giving harmonics plenty of projection. Output is slightly hotter than vintage pickups, and when you dig into the lower strings with your guitar volume pot at 10, the sound opens up into creamy blues-rock territory. It is available here in our Region Panama. Hope it is available on yours too. Regards, Gustavo Woltmann
