Hello. A lot of concert masters would tell you to buy a great sounding newer instrument (than a old "Strad" type fiddle)-: A well designed violin is much less hassel to maintain and sufficient. Find a good builder or better-, talk to some of the symphony players there about who they use for repairs, etc., get several opinions on who may be your best "go to guy" or dealer(s) in your area. Referral: Call Nashville, Conductors-, or even a well informed local teacher/Educator for advice. ... . Cheers. Tim | ||||||||
