The following is a brief overview of my experience/qualifications:

Professional musician for 45 years. Worked with dance bands, wedding bands & house bands. Also performed as a single creating the band or orchestral effect with synthesizers. Have been a band leader for at least 25 years for weddings, dances, parties & special occasions. Also performing for Oktoberfests & Irish Fests. All music is dance music. Solo performance, back up performance, arranging, transcription, transposition, etc. Have also taught music privately for much of the same period & have been a professional concert piano tuner, technician & rebuilder for almost 40 years. Very computer literate, & use computer-based composition/arrangement software. Have an immediate portfolio of over 4,000 songs. Including Big Band, Dixieland & Ragtime, 50's, 60's 70's, 80's, Rock & Roll, Disco, & some newer, Standard Jazz, Latin, Reggae, Steel Band/Caribbean, Country, German, Irish, Italian, French, Spanish. I play most keyboards including piano, organ, accordion, harpsichord & synthesized keyboards. I perform on accordion driven synthesizers for singles, duets & trios creating a full band or orchestra effect, controlling many instruments at one time. All music is live, not pre-recorded or purchased tracks.

Also require: full Internet access, transportation & expenses.

I am a very talented pianist, recently graduated from Edinburgh University with an honours degree in music (there I studied jazz and classical piano). Over the past 6 years I have performed with a wealth of different instrumentalists and vocalists, in all musical genres. In addition to this, I have played and directed in show bands across Scotland and the north of England (musical theatre,show tunes etc). To Whom it May Concern:

I received a job alert from the "Musician's Page" website I belong to regarding a "Show Band Pianist." I can't say that I know much about the position except that I need to be able to sight read and play in many styles. This is no problem. And so - I certainly would like to know more about the position...
