Hello and greetings from Romania!
My name is Radu Rodideal, i am 28 years old and i hold a Bachelors Degree in Music and a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Painting. Besides being a interested in these two fields of art, i am very enthusiast to teach, and i have been teaching at various levels since i was still a student. About myself as a teacher. Teaching is a great source of joy to me, and i have always felt I had the capacity to pass down to others what i have learned. Of course, I myself still have a lot to learn, teaching is by itself defined by constant growing, both as a teacher and student, but my biggest quality would be, for sure, my attitude towards music, that was passed down to me from my piano teacher. To often the enthusiasm of pupils for making music is lost because of austere and non music-oriented approaches by teachers. I strongly believe that i have the capacity to shape myself for each and every individual, bringing the best in them, never forgetting that making music must be, no matter the level, at every moment, an enjoyable and rewarding activity. Also, i have a good approach on making students overcome stage fright, making public performances a source of joy. I have a vast repertoire of pieces to teach, from classical to jazz standards and more contemporary music (some of which are my own transcriptions), and i also posses a very good method for beginners on starting the study of piano. I have a high level of language competence, and i asked, could take English exams at any time. Some words on my musical studies: 2002-2005 School of Art, Bucharest - Music Depp.- Piano 2005-2011 Private studying under composer Valentin Petculescu - harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, composition 2010-2013 Spiru Haret University, Faculty of Music - Musical Pedagogy. Modules in: Piano, Composition, Choral Conducting 2010-2014 Private studying - piano and harpsichord with Fernanda Romila (Composer, Harpsichordist and Organist) Short summary on my musical activity: - numerous recitals in University years, as pianist, piano accompanist and choir conductor. - 1 year collaboration with the Gina Bachauer Foundation in Greece, Athens on completing unfinished scores by various Greek composers. - cocktail pianist at various events - solo and group piano recitals in Remember Enescu Foundation Future project: - solo harpsichord recital (French Baroque) in octomber 2014 at National Romanian Atheneum Short summary on my musical teaching activity: I have started giving private lessons with children and adults since 2010. From 2011 to 2012 i have worked with children in an AfterSchool system with children of various ages. Since 2013 i teach piano to both children and adults in a course that takes place in an art gallery, based on relationships between art and music. At request, i have the diplomas to back up my studies and contact references from teachers and employers.
