Hello .

I'm very interested in your offer. I am professional classical cellist . Graduated Academy of Music in Gdansk ( Poland ) form 1998 - 2003. This is where I got my Master's Degree. The same year I passed auditions to the Baltic Philharmonic of the City of Gdansk and have worked there for about a year. After that I was still getting my experience freelancing in numerous Symphony Orchestras and taking part in Orchestral Master Classes.
Recently I am a leader of the 4 Strings Quartet performing in Poland as well as abroad. Proof-editing would be a great opportunity of getting new skills and perfect addition to my freelancing type of work.

To whom it may concern:

As an Emmy Winning professional cellist, teacher, cello music publisher and
editor since 1984, I am interested to assist in cello music editing projects
- schedules permitting.

I have Sibelius version 4 software, but am not as skilled in using it due to
more extensive experience using Finale software. For my editions, I compile,
prepare, and edit all editions plus oversee page and notation set ups.

Due to my active performing and music administration duties, I now hire out
my Finale & Sibelius tasks for new editions. It keeps our University of Illinois
graduate student composers employed, plus gives them experience and
professional recognition.

Feel free to contact me to discuss this subject further if you need help.

Cordially,

Barbara Hedlund
