Hi, my name is Dahwi Kim and I used to be a student at UCLA majoring in cello performance. I am supposed to be finishing up my last year at UCLA, but rather, I am taking time off from school currently not only because of financial problem, but also I was always interested in producing my own music, which are non-classical, and I wanted to dwell on it while I am not in school.
Recently, I found about cruise ship musician and thought it would be a great opportunity for me since I can make money while I can experience and feel some other parts of world, which will be useful in producing my own music. However, their orchestra was not 'symphony' orchestra as I imagined so there was not seat for me.
Finding this post actually gave me a little hope that I might be able to do this gig and that is why I am writing this application right now.
Briefly, I have been playing cello for about 16 years starting from Korea. Then I moved to Houston, Tx starting High school there and I did some competitions there such as regional and state orchestra. And now I am in Los Angeles, teaching some kids and studying on my own, wanting to get out from this life and experience outside. | ||||||||||||
