Lynne Jackson & Mike Palter Resume

Lynne Jackson & Mike Palter have been presenting their unique renditions of the great American Songbook to America and the world for thirty five years, beginning on the North Shore of Boston in the 1970's and reaching to their solo debut at Carnegie Hall and their first national television performance on the Dinah Shore Show during their early years. Relocating to Los Angeles, the duo soon became “the darlings of Beverly Hills,” attracting a number of music and film celebrities to their concerts, from the inimitable “Mr. Blackwell” of the fashion world, legendary songwriters Burton Lane (“Finian's Rainbow”) and Sammy Fain (“I'll Be Seeing You”), Howard Koch (“Casablanca”) to Herschel Bernardi (“Tevya”), Zsa Zsa Gabor, Rhonda Flemming and, more recently, cabaret artist Michael Feinstein and jazz great, Dave Frishberg.

Aside from Hollywood "celebrity audiences," Lynne and Mike take great pride in their six award-winning CD's, all of which may be sampled on their web site-and the standing ovations received at Lincoln Center, the Walt Disney Performance Center and venues large and small in America, Europe and Asia. It has often been said by critics that Lynne and Mike's music "reaches to the heart," perhaps because they are outstanding instrumentalists as well as vocalists, perhaps because of their long-standing work with children of the world.

Perhaps the most important thing you need to know about this special duo is what a legendary critic said after hearing them for the first time. He said:

"It's like hearing a song you've known for years...for the very first time."
