Jide Akintayo Resume

      I was born on 2/21/1965 in Lagos Nigeria.
The diverse culture i grew up in Lagos exposed me to a variety of music.
In my teenage years Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Manu Dibango were very instrumental in my desire to learn to play the Saxophone.
Their sound and music was so captivating that i was drawn to the instrument .
I have been playing the Saxophone for over twenty years .(Soprano,Alto,Tenor and Baritone Saxophones )
Playing a diverse genre of Music including and not limited to Afrobeat,Gospel,Jazz,Contemporary Worship,Latin to name a few.
I am very passionate about my music ,believing it is the voice of God and I don't take it for granted.
I purpose to minister and reach out to the lost,the disenfranchised,the Ostracised,the hopeless,the helpless,the broken,the busted and disgusted thru music.
It's all about Him and I give him all the glory !
I have had the pleasure and opportunity to play at various events and churches in the Atlanta,Ga and NewYork City NY.
I have also had the pleasure and opportunity to play in Paris,France.
I am available for events such as weddings,funerals,Concerts,Studio Gigs etc.
