Razvan Boroda Resume

      Started piano classical training at the age of 6 and enrolled the music school when 12. Thorough classical training continued through music college and local conservatory of Iasi. Jazz composition and arranging skills achieved in the conservatory were fruitfully reclaimed thru many awards at jazz contests and festivals during the student years. Being most of the times the first choice for all foreign jazz small and big bands that required a pianist position for revenues hometown in Iasi, good opportunities have developed, along with good people skills within bands and off stage, as well as excellent musicianship. 2004 brought a first prize for a personal arrangement at the Golden Stag International Festival - Brasov Romania with a romanian band named Slang, playing a mixture of pop and jazz. The years to follow have been dedicated mostly to live playing, more on crew-ships in show bands ranging from 5 to 12 piece, and occasionally in the home country with famous local jazz, blues and pop figures such as Luiza Zan, A.G. Weinberger, Silvia Dumitrescu, Berti Barbera. The years of live playing and arranging experience have contributed in rendering a fine musician, capable of playing in almost any environment, ranging from 5 stars hotels to live big-bands, a musician who's qualities can be resumed as excellent versatility, refined musicianship, endurance, in one word, professionalism.
