Steven Gross Resume

      Originally from New York. Played guitar since High School. Played in Hotel/Resort band, but took a long break for medical career. Have begun playing again and have studied with several local jazz players. Currently playing with a small jazz combo including trumpet and sax. Our current ensemble works from charts. Focus is on jazz standards, fusion and some jazz latin. Have a small studio with amps, bop drum kit, pa system and computer system. Although not dependent on income from gigs, I am very committed and am interested in getting together with like minded musicians with a goal of playing out, but I am not interested in touring out of the area. Available on weekends and some evenings. Influences include Pat Martino, Pat Metheny, Wes, Jonathan Kreisberg, George Benson, Freddie Hubbard, Joshua Redman, Michael Brecker, Sting, others.
