Patrycja Kuncelman Resume
Born and raised in Poland city of Gdansk, Patrycia Shen's for music began early in life when she discovered the piano at age four. She counts classical training as instrumental in honing her musicality. She graduated to higher school of music under the guidance of professor Wlademar Wojtal. Patrycia attended the Academy of Music in Gdansk under the same professor;
It was during this time that she found interest in singing and studies in conjunction with piano. Entering into National Competitions for classical piano she was a winner several times and gave numerous recitals in Germany, Holland, Belgium where she was invited to take part in the prestigious Chopin Festival in Brussels. Radio programs and TV appearance followed. After this Patrycja decided to spread her wings and travel in order to ain experience. Arriving in Greece, she was heard by a Danish bassist Soren Hansen and invited her to join his trio, there followed appearances in festivals, clubs gaining experience and widowing her repertoire before meeting jazz pianist Pate Smith. After studying jazz with Pete for several period of time they performed at various venues together at which time they recorded a demo-disc. On the strength of this Patrycia entered the International Jazz Vocal Competition in Brussels where she reached the semi finals.
