Patrycja Kuncelman Resume

      Born and raised in Poland city of Gdansk, Patrycia Shen's for music began early in life when she discovered the piano at age four. She counts classical training as instrumental in honing her musicality. She graduated to higher school of music under the guidance of professor Wlademar Wojtal. Patrycia attended the Academy of Music in Gdansk under the same professor;
It was during this time that she found interest in singing and studies in conjunction with piano. Entering into National Competitions for classical piano she was a winner several times and gave numerous recitals in Germany, Holland, Belgium where she was invited to take part in the prestigious Chopin Festival in Brussels. Radio programs and TV appearance followed.
After this Patrycja decided to spread her wings and travel in order to ain experience. Arriving in Greece, she was heard by a Danish bassist Soren Hansen and invited her to join his trio, there followed appearances in festivals, clubs gaining experience and widowing her repertoire before meeting jazz pianist Pate Smith. After studying jazz with Pete for several period of time they performed at various venues together at which time they recorded a demo-disc. On the strength of this Patrycia entered the International Jazz Vocal Competition in Brussels where she reached the semi finals. Realizing the limitations of jazz in Greece she was on the move again headed for Germany;

1990 - 1996 participant and laureate of several major piano competitions in Poland including:

1991 – National Piano Competition for primary music school, Warsaw, Poland – III prize,
1992 – III rd I. J. Paderewski Piano Competition in Kartuzy, Poland - II prize
1993 – VIII National Piano Competition In Goleniow, Poland- I prize,
Grand Prix and the title of the best pianist of the year;

1990 – 2003 solo concerts in many major European countries in.: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany; radio recordings and television appearances. Solo classical pianist concerts and with orchestra all around Europe.






2001-2004 as a vocalist with a diverse repertoire ranging from standard jazz to pop I've worked with several restaurants and clubs all over the country and abroad

2004-2008 I've been working with the Aldemar chain of hotels in Crete Island in Greece as a pianist and singer with jazz trio, duo

2004-2005 Robinson - Litos Club in Hersonissos, Crete as a pianist

2006-2009 Elounda Porto, Elounda Mare in Agios Nicolaos, Crete pianist and singer

2008- Semi finalist of International Jazz Vocal Competition in Brussels

2010.02-05- Kempinski Hotel in Africa-Djibout as a singer in duo with Peter Smith
