Jessenzzth Chua was awarded for the outstanding performance by Trinity College London year 2008, Penang. Received a full scholarship in Ph.D at the University Sains Malaysia with the research of music engagement into ethical decision-making. Holds a Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from the University Sains Malaysia, Penang. Also obtained his Associate and Licentiate Diplomas from the Trinity College London. He is based in Penang and is a very active solo performer and accompanist in the region namely, Traders hotel, Eastern & Oriental Hotel, events, functions and so on.
Trained first as a Biotechnologist specialising in DNA and RNA cloning from University Sains Malaysia, without giving up the interest and passion in music, he pursued his master�s degree in music in University Sains Malaysia. Jessenzzth performed few harp ensembles, wedding performances, solo harp recitals, also attended masterclasses with madam Catherine Michel and Prof Ieuan Jones. Studied the harp with Davide Burani, Khor Jee Fei, and Katryna Tan.
As a soloist and accompanist, he has performed several recitals in Penang, who was invited by Dr. Razak Aziz to perform a piano reduction opera, "Mariah Zaitun" (world premiere) with a prestigious soprano, Miss Ranko Kurano. Jason is also an active accompanist for soprano, Ranko Kurano in the two nights event of Georgetown Heritage Festival 2010, Penang.
Gave his first solo recital at the Dewan Sri Pinang for a Charity Show in aid of Mouth Miriam Cancer Hospital, Penang on 29th December 2010.
Also participating in Northern Jazz Ensemble as a modest jazz pianist, performing for the Georgetown Heritage festival 2011 and for the mid-autumn festival featuring Debussy�s Clair de Lune and Tango by Nazareth at the Town hall, Georgetown Penang September 2011.
Invited to perform a charity recital for NASAM (National Stroke Association Malaysia) on 18th march 2012.
In July 2013, Jason was invited by TVB Hong Kong film production to film a drama title �Outbound Love� at Lone Pine Hotel to substitute Rico Chan�s hands on the piano.
Invited to perform the No. 1 Steinway Historical Roadshow performance, Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang on 2nd June 2014.
Besides being an active performer, vocal accompanist and resident pianist at Seven Terraces Hotel, Jason is a dedicated educator, sharing his passions of music with other enthusiasts.
