      Alicja Wolynczyk – saxophone
She has completed her saxophone studies with distinction at Warsaw Academy of Music. Finished her BA and MA in Information Services and Librarianship at Warsaw University. Received scholarship from Polish Ministry of Culture and Socrates-Erasmus.

Alicja Wolynczyk is a young talented, classical saxophonist. Sensitive and energetic, her aim is to make her public being extremely enjoyed. She has played in many European countries, including Germany, Greece, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Cooperates with the finest Polish orchestras such as National Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia, plays under Marc Minkowski, Antoni Wit, Janos Furst, Etienne Siebens. As a soloist she has recently played under Szymon Kawalla, and Grzegorz Mielimka. She also cooperates with National Philharmonic Chamber Music Department, playing each 2 years over 200 concerts for young audience. She's performed on many national music festivals, such as Warsaw Autumn, but also on La Folles Journee (France).

She has perfected her skills during international masterclasses with renowed saxophonists such as Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David, Claude Delangle, and many others. Twice she participates in Saxofoonweek in Amsterdam.

Her cooperation with classical accordionist Jaroslaw Galuszka has brought her Ist prize and special prize at 43. International Accordion Competition in duo's category. She's also a laureate of several other competitions.
Nowadays, she plays with Jaroslaw concerts as a CyjaSax duo (, receiving an great audience acclaim.
She also collaborates with Dorota Samsel (saxophone) in Modern Saxophone Duo, playing contemporary music. Lately, they've recorded music for CD.

She performed at World Saxophone Congress (2006) and on 30th year gala of saxophone class at Warsaw University of Music. She's played world premieres of several compositions (Volk, Przybylski, Boris, Debski), and also polish premieres of solo, chamber and orchestral music – (Chambers, Przybylski, de Bond, Eotvos, Adams).

Since 2009 she collaborates with European Saxophone Ensemble (ESE), which has the honour to hold the title of Cultural Ambassador of the European Union. „The ESE plays an important part in strengthening European identity. The beauty of this ensemble lies in the power of its people. Not only do they make great music, the European Saxophone Ensemble also shows its greatness by sharing their artistic talents with the European people.” - Jerzy Buzek, the president of EU Parliament .

Alicja Wolynczyk took part in many recordings. Lately, „Aeoration”, CD of ESE was relased in Belgium ( Alicja plays soprano saxophone there.

She was a lecturer of masterclasses in Warsaw, and workshops in Olsztyn, Skierniewice, Garwolin (some she's co-organized). She has saxophone class in Music School in Warsaw.
