Caterina Bergo Resume

      Caterina Bergo graduated with full marks in harp from the Conservatory of Music “F. Venezze” in Rovigo, Italy, with Professor P. Carlin. Then, she continued her studies with A.N. Schirinzi and U. Holliger. From 2002 to 2004 she took a specialisation course in chamber music with Maestro Luca Paccagnella. Since then, she has performed as a soloist and with various chamber music groups.
She has won several competitions and awards: the “Quadrivio” Prize in 2002, the First Prize in the harp duo at the National Competitions “Young Harpists” and the Third Prize at the National Competition “CittĂ  di Cento” for the music chamber section. In recent years, she has participated in competitions reserved for the best Italian Conservatory students: “SocietĂ  Umanitaria” – Milan, “La Fabbrica delle Note”- Padua, - “Castrocaro Classica” – Castrocaro (Fo).
She has collaborated with the following orchestras: Orchestra “Mihail Jora” of Bacau, “Orchestra da Camera di Padova e del Veneto”, “I Solisti Filarmonici Italiani”, “Orchestra Giovanile del Veneto”, “Silver Symphony Orchestra”, “Orchestra del Giubileo”, “Orchestra Giovane Sinfonia”, “Orchestra Regionale dei Conservatori del Veneto”.
She recorded for Primrose Music International, Velut Luna and Denon.
In February 2007 she graduated with full marks in Musicology from the University of Padua, with a dissertation on afro-american music. In June of the same year she graduated in opera singing at the Conservatory of Music of Rovigo with Professor M.G. Munari. Then she continued her studies with the tenor W. Matteuzzi.
