Description:Description:Guitar on duty Dale Hauskins, playing on The Specs «Changes to the Few» (Sinbad Records 1991) A well-known original hardworking busy ska band with keyboardist Gregg Allen, singer, trumpeter Mike Menchaca, the late great Scott Wylie on drums from the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Southern California. A lot of music was only released on analog cassette format. The Specs were no exception, a ska band originally from Riverside, California, that were very busy, and active in the late 80’s to early 90’s. with catchy original ska songs and tasty tight jumping horns. This was The Specs debut cassette only album released under Sinbad Records. "The Specs were an up tempo third wave ska band that also incorporated reggae into their sound.It all amounted to a lot of skankin' and a lot of fun. Back then Sublime "featured" Brad, No Doubt was packing back yard parties with easily 100 high school kids in Anaheim. Fishbone was the greatest thing to come out of Compton at the time to allow us the privilege to open for them including the Skatalites".- The late amazing American veteran hero, tremendous, spectacular gifted drummer of The Specs Mr.Scott Hamilton Wylie. An up tempo third wave ska band that also incorporated reggae into their sound. It all amounted to a lot of skankin' and a lot of fun. Such a bunch of tight musicians, talented gents I toured, recorded, and was lucky to gig, join.
