Margaret Bell was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.She grew up singing in her father's church choir and went on to sing professionally on her sister's Gospel recordings. Between her studies and responsibilities, she traveled around the country performing in concerts, Festivals and television specials. She was offered a music scholarship to attend Oral Roberts University as one of the Nationwide TV singers on the daily telecast "The Richard Roberts Live" Show. After college she appeared on Broadway in a Gospel Musical "Don't Get God Started", and from there she traveled with Whitney Houston, Carly Simon and have sang with and for many of music's greats such as Barbra Streisand, Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole, Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson to name a few. Margaret went on to record her first Contemporary Gospel/Jazz CD on Warner Brothers Label. She has won awards for her songwriting and performance skills and have performed for various Presidents and Kings. In September 2009, she was asked to go to Marrakech, Morocco to sing on contract, at the famous Hotel LaMamounia, in their reknown Churchill's Jazz Club, named after Winston Churchill for his continuos presence at the bar. Within her 16 month stay, she had the opportunity to sing for King Mohammed VI and the Royal family. | ||
